Shopping

Track where your products appear inside AI shopping results.

The Shopping section shows what happens when AI surfaces answer your tracked prompts with products: which SKUs appear, who wins the top slot, which merchants carry the results, and which prompts trigger shopping at all. Coverage spans Google AI Mode and AI Overviews from your weekly tracking, plus consumer ChatGPT carousels when the capture add-on is active.

Products

The main table scores every catalog product that appears in shopping results:

  • Visibility is the share of shopping-capable answers where the product appears, per surface. Rates never mix surfaces: a product can be strong on AI Mode and absent on ChatGPT, and the table shows exactly that.
  • Appearances counts every observation, including repeats within a window.
  • Avg. position is the product's mean rank inside the shopping results it appears in.
  • Win rate is the share of appearances at position 1, the slot that wins the click.

The Top, Trending, and Losing modes sort by current value or by the change against the previous measurement window. Rows marked "New" had no previous window to compare against.

Product metrics need a connected catalog: observations are matched to your products deterministically (identifiers first, then brand plus title). See Connect a product catalog.

Prompts

The prompt table reports the shopping-mode trigger rate: how often each tracked prompt's answers produced shopping results at all. A commercial prompt with a high trigger rate and no product presence is your clearest merchandising gap.

Merchants

The Merchants page shows who sells inside the AI shopping results for your prompts: share of voice, top-slot rate, and observed prices relative to the cross-merchant median for the same matched products. A merchant listing your products well above the median weakens their placement.

Attributes

The attribute grid compares what AI shopping answers say about each brand, in three tabs: characteristics (qualitative descriptors), facts (boolean claims), and dimensions (measurable specs). The grid is descriptive only. It reports what the answers claim, not whether the claims are accurate.

Sources

The Sources page ranks the domains cited by shopping-classified answers. These are the pages powering product recommendations for your prompts, and the clearest targets for content and PR work.

ChatGPT capture

Google surfaces are included in your plan's weekly tracking. ChatGPT product carousels exist only in the consumer app, so capturing them is a metered add-on: each pack probes your top 25 commercial prompts weekly on consumer ChatGPT and feeds the same tables, labeled as its own surface. Coverage banners on every Shopping page state exactly which surfaces the current window covers.
