Using Citlyze

GEO Audits

Review crawlability and content-readiness scores for URLs.

GEO audits help teams understand whether a URL is likely to be usable by AI systems as a source.

Audit modes

Citlyze exposes two focused audit modes:

  • Crawlability Checker checks server access, redirects, robots.txt policy, firewall behavior, and per-bot AI crawler status for one public URL.
  • Content Checker checks static and rendered content, structured data, page structure, metadata, and technical signals for one public URL.

Audit scores

Audit results can include:

  • overall score
  • crawlability score
  • content score
  • audit type
  • submitted URL
  • normalized URL
  • final URL
  • audit status
  • started and completed timestamps

Crawlability

Crawlability checks focus on whether systems can access and interpret the page. Blocking behavior, redirects, robots rules, and fetch errors can lower the score. The audit reports crawler-specific status for answer-engine bots where applicable.

Content readiness

Content checks focus on whether the page clearly answers a topic, includes useful context, and is structured in a way AI systems can understand. When configured, semantic review can add an AI-assisted content-readiness check.

How to use audits

Use audit results to prioritize technical cleanup and answer-ready content improvements before expecting a page to earn citations.
