Common product, API, and MCP issues.
Use this page when Citlyze does not show the data or behavior you expect.
Dashboard says setup needed
Complete the tracking setup flow. The workspace needs a target brand, at least one confirmed competitor, and tracked prompts.
Tracking is blocked
Tracking can pause temporarily for a workspace. It usually resumes on its own with the next scheduled run. If the notice stays for more than a day, check that your plan or trial is active in Billing, and contact support if everything looks right.
A prompt is not measured
A prompt becomes measured only after a tracking run captures an answer for it. Run tracking or wait for the current run to finish.
Competitor citations look wrong
Check competitor domains. Citation classification depends on confirmed official websites.
API returns invalid_api_key
Confirm the key is active and sent as:
Authorization: Bearer aeo_live_...API or MCP returns plan_capability_required
The workspace plan does not include API exports. Upgrade or use a workspace with exports enabled.
MCP client has no data
Confirm the workspace has a completed measurement window. Most MCP analysis tools default to the latest completed window.
