Alerts

Get notified when visibility, rankings, or citation rates change.

Alert rules watch every completed measurement window and notify you when a change crosses your threshold. Alerts arrive by email, and also in Slack or Microsoft Teams when a notification webhook is set up for the workspace.

Create an alert rule

You need admin access in the workspace to manage alert rules.

  1. Go to Workspace settings and find the Alerts card.
  2. Click New rule.
  3. Choose a Rule type:
    • Visibility drop: your Brand Visibility falls between windows.
    • Competitor overtake: a competitor passes your brand in the ranking.
    • Citation drop: your citation rate falls between windows.
    • Prompt lost visibility: individual tracked prompts drop past the threshold; the alert lists the affected prompts.
  4. Set the Threshold and pick a Comparison: Absolute points (percentage-point drop versus the previous completed window) or Relative percent (relative drop versus the previous completed window). Competitor overtake has no threshold; instead pick a specific Competitor or Any competitor.
  5. Set Minimum runs: the rule only fires once at least this many runs completed in the window, so one-off swings don't trigger alerts. The default is 3.
  6. Add Recipients (comma- or newline-separated email addresses), or leave the field blank to send to organization admins.
  7. Leave Active immediately checked and click Create rule.

Pause, resume, or delete a rule

Each rule row shows its type, an Active or Paused badge, its threshold, minimum runs, and recipients. Use Pause and Resume to toggle a rule, or the delete action to remove it. Deleting stops the rule immediately and cannot be undone.

Alert history

The Alert history card at the bottom of workspace settings lists alerts that have been sent for recent completed windows, with the before and after values, the change, and how many recipients were notified.

Plan availability

If your plan does not include alerts, the New rule button is disabled and the card shows an upgrade note. See Plans and limits.
