Notifications

Notifications Overview

Send Citlyze alerts and scheduled reports to email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

Citlyze can deliver alerts and scheduled reports to email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Slack and Teams delivery uses incoming webhooks: you create the webhook inside your own workspace or tenant, then paste the URL into Citlyze.

Incoming webhooks are one-way outbound destinations. Citlyze posts notification payloads to the URL you provide. Citlyze does not need permission to read your Slack workspace, read your Teams tenant, or publish an app to either store.

Where to configure notifications

Open Workspace Settings in Citlyze, then use Notification webhooks.

You can save one Slack webhook URL and one Microsoft Teams webhook URL per workspace. A saved webhook receives both alerts and scheduled reports for that workspace.

Delivery behavior

Email, Slack, and Teams are independent destinations. A notification can still be delivered to Slack or Teams if an email recipient list is empty or if email delivery is unavailable.

Webhook URLs are encrypted at rest. The settings page only shows a short URL hint after a webhook is saved.

Setup files

Citlyze provides optional setup files:

ProviderFilePurpose
Slackslack-app-manifest.jsonImport a Slack app manifest that requests the incoming-webhook scope.
Microsoft Teamsteams-app-package.zipUpload a custom Teams app package with Citlyze branding.

The files are onboarding helpers. Runtime delivery depends only on the webhook URL you paste into Citlyze.
