Getting Started

Competitors

Add competitors and confirm the official domains Citlyze should track.

Competitors are tracked alongside the target brand so Citlyze can measure Share of Voice, competitor visibility, and source gaps.

Add competitors

Add competitors one at a time with a name and official website. You can also add aliases for common product names, abbreviations, and alternate spellings.

Find website

When you enter a competitor name, Citlyze can suggest likely official domains. Choose Use website only when the suggestion is the competitor's real website.

Why domains matter

Competitor domains are used to classify citations and sources. If a competitor domain is wrong, reports can misclassify third-party citations as competitor owned content, or miss competitor-owned citations entirely.

Troubleshooting

If the suggested website is wrong:

  • Search for the competitor's official site manually.
  • Prefer the primary marketing domain over a social profile or directory page.
  • Avoid regional mirrors unless that is the market you want to track.
  • Add aliases when the competitor is commonly known by a product name.

Minimum requirement

The setup flow requires at least one competitor with a confirmed website before tracking can start.
